6th Witham and 1st Marks Tey Brownies Sleepover – June 2005 – Marks Tey

In June 2005, BT and many other organisations joined together to break a world record for a ‘Giant Sleepover’ including Girlguiding and the Scout association. 34 Brownies from 6th Witham and 1st Marks Tey joined in the fun and had a girlie night! We painted nails, braided hair, played party games, ate chocolate and popcorn and even had face packs! At midnight, 5 brownies and their young leader (Me) took our promise in our pyjamas, which has been the best promise ceremony I have seen! Everyone had lots of fun but we were all very tired! I hope to persuade the leaders to do it again next year!

6th Witham and 1st Marks Tey Brownies Pack Holiday – April 2005 – Thorrington
In April 2005, 6th Witham and 1st Marks Tey brownies enjoyed a fun weekend at Thorrington camp site. The theme of the weekend was ‘I’m a Brownie…Get me out of here!’ The weekend included many challenges – one of the best was messy eaters! Brownies had to get plastic bugs out of bowls with their teeth! The bowls were water, flour, cereal, rice pudding, rainbow drops and jelly! A fun time was had by all and we hope they will all come again!
