A Ranger trip to Thorrington campsite for an evening of outdoor
cooking and the assault course proved to be a cold night but was enjoyed by
us all.

In April 2005 Silver End Aztec Rangers took part in a Jack
the Ripper walk in East London. Three of us made our promise and were enrolled
in a grisly spot - at the scene of the murder of one of the Ripper's victims.

Silver End Uniformed organisations took part in the Remembrance
Parade in November 2005 by marching and laying a wreath at the Remembrance
Service. Silver End District Guiding were very proud of all our members and
one of our Guides dressed in war time Guide uniform for the occasion.
On 6th November 2005, Silver End District took two coaches of Leaders, Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Rangers and families to Legoland in Windsor. Despite the torrential rain we all had a great time and a number of members were enrolled at various places in the park - mainly on Rollercoasters!! The photo is proof of some of the wettest enrolments in Girlguiding.

In December 2005, Silver End Rainbows, Brownies,
Guides and Rangers took part in a fantastic pantomime "Snow White and
the Eleven Dwarves" which was expertly produced by the Rangers. A large
appreciative audience came along to watch the performance.
In April the 1st and 2nd Silver End Brownies enjoyed a joint Brownie holiday at Skreens Park in Chelmsford. The theme was "Finding Nemo" and we had a great time on our day out at Southend, eating fish & chips, do-nuts and ice creams and visiting the Sealife Adventure where we met Nemo and Dory. We took part in pedal carting, lots of wide games, crafts, games and a cinema night.

1st and 2nd Silver End Brownie enjoy a joint Christmas party in December 2004.

2nd Silver End Rainbows invited families and
guests to watch them perform their Sponsored Song event. Our Young Leader
made her promise tonight and everyone was very proud of us remembering all
our songs.

On a very hot Sunday 17th July 2005, a small
group of Silver End Aztec Rangers entertained the crowds at the annual Silver
End Festival of Football with their cheerleading skills and routines.
Here is the a picture of 2nd Silver End Rainbows enjoying their first ever Rainbow sleepover on 10th March 2006. Carol Hutchings, Rainbow Guider earned her overnight licence. The theme was Cinderella and the girls enjoyed lots of games, crafts, songs, an indoor campfire, stories and had lots to eat and drink. A wonderful time was had by girls and leaders alike. We can't wait for next time!!
